Many people enter Lent carrying more than they realize—hearts pulled in too many directions, a desire to pray but not knowing where to begin, or a feeling of being disconnected from God. Others come longing for peace, clarity, or simply a moment of stillness after months of hurry.
Lent is a sacred season of forty days in the Church’s calendar, set aside for prayer, penance, and deeper conversion. From the earliest centuries, Christians have prepared for Easter by returning to the basics of faith—confession of sin, acts of charity, fasting, and intentional prayer.
The forty days recall Christ’s time in the desert, where He entered into silence, confronted temptation, and surrendered Himself entirely to the Father’s will. Lent invites us to follow Him in our own way: to slow the pace of life, to listen more closely, and to allow God to reshape the heart.
St. Francis himself, observed periods of retreat and fasting, in order to draw nearer to Christ.
Our Lenten offerings are created to support you in this sacred season.
